Coming home to Houston from North Carolina, Piper Jones band leader and Houston native, EJ Jones, is thrilled to perform this November at his home club, McGonigels Mucky Duck. This is the band's first time back at The Duck since their May CD release of Crossing the Sabine. Over the summer, members of the band went on immersive musical journeys spanning the U.S., France and Scotland. They’ll be unveiling two more albums this year that include music sparked from journeys abroad and weeks exploring new tunes at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Come catch the band in this wave of beautiful Celtic music delivered with passion and precision on the Highland Pipes, bouzouki, & drum!
Piper Jones is a Celtic band centered around beautifully in-tune and energetically played Highland bagpipes accompanied by the percussive chords of the bouzouki and drum. In addition to beautiful instrumentals and traditional tunes from Ireland, Scotland, & Appalachia, the group sings powerful harmonies and will lead the audience in traditional celtic dances. Come enjoy tunes to uplift and stir the Celtic Spirit!
