Kemah Celtic Festival a success

By Richard Tew

The Kemah Boardwalk, Clear Lake’s entertainment focal point, played host to their first ever Celtic Festival 3/30 and 3-31.

Larges crowds braved intermittent rain Saturday and breezy cold temperatures set to an overcast sky Sunday.

Perfect weather or not, pipes, fiddles, guitars, drums and Irish dance shoes pounded out age-old rhythms, fans both young and old enjoyed. Houston’s Blaggards, international pipe and rock band Celtica and Clear Lake’s Tew Academy of Irish dance put on a show for the hundreds of fans in attendance Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
