Local dancers compete in first Irish dance-based St. Patrick’s Day queen selection contest

The event was held at Bohemeos in the East End, and was sponsored by Ginger Simon and her Magpie Event Agency. Both Cass-Barrington and the Tew Academy of Irish Dance aided in the logistics and entered dancers. The Houston Geals’ Johnny Ziomek emceed the event.

Dancers performed routines and were given a brief interview by Ziomek before their scores were totalled.  And the placements were announced.

The Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in downtown Houston, March 11.
