Miggins cook-off set for Feb. 18 at Lucky’s Pub

By Richard Tew

The Miggins cook off, benefitting the Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade (March 11), will be held at Lucky’s Pub, located at 801 St. Emanuel in Houston’s East End Feb. 18 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.  It will feature lots of great entertainment on both in door and out door stages, ranging from Celtic music to Irish dancing, and will feature plenty of food and drink, all in a family-friendly environment. And the best part?  The door fee remains the same affordable $10-per-person as last year!

The cook off is looking for more cook teams and venders, along with food judges.  They also have two more spots for entertainers!  Fees and applications are online where you can also view a full list of performers and a developing schedule.  Check www.hsppc.org often for updates and contact information if you want to register a cook team, vend or perform!

A preliminary list of entertainers include (more being added and finalized):

Houston Highlanders

Godfrey’s Rangers
Celtic Chorus of Houston
Murder the Stout
Los Vertigo

Cass-Barrington Irish Dancers

Opens at 12 p.m. and closes at 6 p.m.
